The housing market in South Lake Tahoe remains soft, with buyer demand yet to pick up momentum. While homes that are priced competitively and offer strong features are selling within a week, the majority of properties are lingering on the market for an average of 30-60 days. We’re also seeing widespread price reductions as sellers adjust to current market conditions. If interest rates decrease, we could see a boost in buyer activity, but for now, the market continues to favor those homes that are priced right and stand out in terms of location and amenities.
